you’re like most working professionals and employees, your weekends are sacred and meant only for yourself. Relaxing on your comfy living room sofa, enjoying a nice novel on your bed just after waking up or catching a mid-afternoon nap, your weekends are when you unwind after the long week of work. Weekdays are usually more hectic – waking up, running to grab breakfast before office and then commuting two ways probably eat up a lot of your time. Coming back home after a long day of work, to find a pile of dishes to watch and dusty carpets to vacuum definitely is not fun. Slowly, the pile of work keeps increasing and reaches a height that’s sky high. As you get closer to Friday, you begin to dread the weekend. What originally was planned to be two complete days of bliss and relaxation now look like they’ll be consumed the insurmountable pile of work. However, it doesn’t have to be that way. We love cleaning in Point Piper
Located around four miles east of the Sydney Central, Point Piper gets its name from Capt. John Piper, a Scottish born military officer who lived here in the eighteenth century. Wolseley Road, which is located here, is home to some of Sydney’s best homes. Home to a wide variety of architectural styles, houses on this street vary from multi-storey mansions to tower-like structures.
The nearby suburb of Rose Bay is home to two golf clubs and is known to be a spot for water sports. The Woollahra Gulf Club of nine holes and The Royal Sydney Golf Club featuring a 27-hole championship course are located here. Potts Point is home to a small beach, the Lady Martins Beach and the Duff Reserve, a small waterfront parkland.
Shark Island and Clark Island are located offshore Potts Point. Shark Island gets its name from its shape, which looks like a shark. Ferry services from this suburb take visitors to this island, which historically was a very dangerous area of the sea, with multiple shipwrecks and drownings occurring here. Less than twenty feet north of the island is the Shark Island Light, a lighthouse dating back to the 1900s. The lighthouse is still active today, though visitors are not allowed.
