We love cleaning in Watsons Bay
Located on a peninsular piece of land, Watsons Bay is known for its spectacular views of the Sydney Harbour and shares a border with the suburb of Vaucluse. It is home to two beaches, Camp Cove Beach and Lady Bay Beach and the Gap, a cliff overlooking the Pacific Ocean. The suburbs of Balmoral and Clifton Gardens are located across the bay. With many places to see and home to the famed Doyle’s Seafood Restaurant, this place is a nice weekend destination.
Watsons Bay is also home to heritage-listed sites such as the Dunbar and the Hornby Lighthouse. The Dunbar is a ship that crashed into the coast and was shipwrecked more than a hundred years ago. Today, the remains of the ship are preserved as a memorial and museum in Watsons Bay, near the Gap. Home to the Green Point Reserve, Camp Cove Park and the Robertson Park, walking through the trails in these open lands is also a common pastime here. The adjacent suburb of Vaucluse takes you into the past, with more than seven heritage listed sites such as the Wentworth Mausoleum, Macquarie Lighthouse, and Wentworth Memorial Church.
Vaucluse House, the historic estate, is also located here. Featuring a 19th-century estate containing the house, kitchen wing, stables and outbuildings intact and standing even today, this was designed in part by the explorer William Charles Wentworth, who was one of first native-born Australia to gain a reputation overseas and advocated for self-rule in Australia. Watsons Bay is also located near the Hermitage Reserve and Parsley Bay Reserve, another weekend retreat to enjoy the fabulous views while walking along the bay.
